Refuge

Many times we are heart broken and feel helpless as ladies and young girls turn up on our doorstep without shelter. We listen to them as they tell us how their families have abandoned them and left them to sleep on the street and in the train station along with their babies. Romanian winters are harsh and many times temperatures fall as low as –40 degrees. We have built a shelter but now it needs central heating, kitchen, bathroom and insulation as well as all the interior furniture and fittings. We pray that sometime soon we will be able to finish it and so receive the ladies we’ve been wanting to help for so long.

Coffee house

We would like to connect more with the community by opening a coffee house. During the day for ladies and evenings for the youth. Hopefully we will be creating an environment where people can feel comfortable and where they can come and relax with friends giving us the perfect opportunity to minister to them through friendships.

Ultra sound clinic

After our visit to choose-life, Alabama we realized just how important this service would be in our fight against abortions. Many women here believe that their baby does not have life until they feel it moving. We show many videos but to actually see their own baby forming inside them we know that the little life will become more real to the expectant mothers.

Souvenir shop

We are wanting to open a shop where people can come and purchase souvenirs without the emphasis being on Dracula. (Sighisoara is the birth place of Vlad Tepes the person who the fictitious story of Dracula is based on). Sighisoara is known as the jewel of Romania and is the oldest inhabited citadel in Europe. Not only will we be able to create jobs for the ladies living in the shelter but hopefully it will generate finances so we don’t have to rely on outside donations all the time.
